Twenty-five years ago this morning, nearly 3,000 people went to work, boarded flights, and answered calls for help. They did not come home.
They were colleagues, parents, neighbors, and friends. They were lost in New York, at the Pentagon, and in a field near Shanksville, Pennsylvania. And in the hours that followed, thousands more ran toward danger so that others could live.
A quarter century later, the grief has not faded. It has been joined by gratitude: for the first responders who gave everything, for the families who have carried this loss with quiet strength, and for those who still bear the cost of that day in their health and their memories.
Today, all of us at Vanguard Management Solutions pause to remember them. Not as a date on a calendar, but as people whose lives mattered and whose absence still shapes ours.
We will never forget.
